SEDERE is the leading manufacturer of low-temperature evaporative light scattering detectors (LT-ELSD) for HPLC, micro-HPLC and SFC.

These detectors range from entry-level unit to computer controlled systems for automated analysis, and a detector with four individual channels for high throughput requirements is available. These detectors are distributed throughout the world via a well established distributor network.

Markets served

Evaporative light scattering detection provides universal detection for HPLC, it is not dependant on the presence of chromophoric groups on the compound, and is therefore an extremely useful technique when the nature of the compound in the sample is not well understood. Typical applications include proteomics, combinatorial chemistry, lipids, surfactants, high-throughput screening and small molecules. SEDERE LT-ELSDs are commonly used in industrial, governmental and university research laboratories.

The SEDEX LT-ELSD Model 60LT is an entry level system that is designed for routine analyses.

The SEDEX LT-ELSD Model 75 is designed for high performance measurements.

The SEDEX LT-ELSD Model 754 is designed for monitoring up to four HPLC systems simultaneously and is optimized for high throughput studies.

The SEDEX LT-ELSD Model 80 is the new reference to replace the SEDEX Model 75.

The SEDEX LT-ELSD Model 85 includes a newly designed high performance optical detection system and enhanced digital signal treatment to provide for a dramatic improvement in sensitivity (<200 pg) as well as window based PC control and power down mode.


All SEDERE detectors feature low temperature operation to ensure that the superb sensitivity is provided even for semi-volatile compounds. These detectors can be used with micro-HPLC, conventional HPLC and preparative HPLC as well as for combinatorial chemistry.

The Model 75 and 85 detectors can be fitted with four different nebulizers to optimize performance at flow rates from 5 µL to 5 mL/min, and models 754, 75S and 85 are compatible with the controller software which controls all system parameters, external events, accepts remote controls (contact closures) and is readily interfaced to common chromatographic software packages. Password protection and a full system log for GLP compliance are provided.
